NCC

  • NCC cadets, apart from attending camps organized by their respective directorates, undertake training which makes them disciplined and self-reliant. An oath is taken to stand against social evils like dowry, female foeticide and domestic violence. Blood donation camps are organised. A visit to, school for the deaf and dumb on NCC day is organised.
  • NCC programme offers an opportunity to cadets to develop a spirit of comradeship, the concept of selfless service and capacity for leadership. The college has a wing of NCC: Army. Throughout the year, they participate in activities like:
  • The Army cadets attend 9 to 10 camps per year which include ATC, CATC, TSC and Pre-Republic Day Parade camp.
  • NCC week celebration is organized in the college and deaf and dumb school, Ropar. Rallies against social evils are organised. Poster making competitions are organised on NCC day. elf Study Report of Government College Ropar(Punjab) 143
  • Guest lectures are delivered on female foeticide, save earth, save water and other significant issues.
  • Cadets donate blood during the Blood Donation Camp organized in the college.
  • Van Mahotsava is celebrated and trees are planted.
  • Ten cadets participated in Republic Day camp, three in TSC and ten in commonwealth games as security officers.
  • Cadets give brilliant performances and earn accolades during the camps.
  • Cadets participate in Independence day, Republic day functions at district level.
