SC / ST / OBC Cell


As per the directions of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Institution has constituted an internal SC / ST / OBC Cell to monitor, prevent, and address complaints related to caste-based discrimination involving students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff.

The Cell ensures that no member of the institution indulges in any form of discrimination against individuals belonging to SC, ST, or OBC communities on the grounds of social origin. All complaints are addressed through time-bound and appropriate action in accordance with prescribed norms.

Process & Functioning
  1. Complaints related to discrimination or harassment may be submitted in writing or online by students, faculty members, or non-teaching staff.
  2. All complaints must be formally addressed to the SC / ST / OBC Cell.
  3. The complaint should include complete and relevant details of the alleged act of discrimination or harassment.
  4. Upon receipt of a complaint, the Cell initiates a time-bound preliminary fact-finding enquiry followed by necessary action as per institutional norms.
Instructions for Students & Staff
  1. Any form of discrimination based on caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender, or disability is strictly prohibited within the institution.
  2. The Institution treats incidents of caste-based discrimination with utmost seriousness, and strict disciplinary action will be taken against offenders.
  3. If a complaint is found to be false or malicious, strict disciplinary action shall be taken against the complainant as per institutional rules.
