Live Telecast of 'Fit India Movement' held at Government College Ropar

Government College, Ropar today organized the live telecast of 'Fit India Movement' launched by Honourable Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi from Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi on the occasion of 'National Sports Day', dedicated to world renowned Hockey player Major Dhayan Chand. This program was screened by NSS Units, NCC Units and Red Ribbon Club with the help of 'Buddy Programme' under the dynamic leadership of Prof B.S Satyal,Vice Principal of the college. S.Harsimranjit Singh, CJM cum Secretary District Legal Services Authority Rupnagar and Capt.Mantej Singh Cheema Assistant Director Youth Services, Rupnagar were special guests on the occasion. College Principal Dr. Sant Surinder Pal Singh welcomed the guests and said that it is utmost responsibility of every Indian citizen to contribute in nation building by living a fit and healthy life. This program was supervised by college NSS Officers S.Jatinder singh Gill,Dr. Nirmal Brar,Dr Dalvinder Singh, Prof. Arvinder Kaur and Prof Shaminder Kaur
