*77th Independence Day Celebrations at Government College Ropar Marked by Patriotic Fervor*

*Government College Ropar celebrated the 77th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism under the able guidance of Principal Jatinder Singh. The event saw a harmonious blend of tradition, respect, and dedication towards the nation's progress.

The day commenced with the rising sun casting its golden rays over the college campus, symbolizing the dawn of a free and self-reliant India. Faculty members, students, and staff gathered at the college grounds adorned with tricolor decorations, reflecting the spirit of the day.

One of the highlights of the event was the Guard of Honour rendered to the National Flag by the disciplined NCC cadets. With crisp and synchronized movements, the cadets showcased their commitment to the country's ideals and values. The fluttering of the tricolor flag against the backdrop of a clear blue sky was a stirring sight that ignited the patriotic fervor among the attendees.

A solemn and heartfelt Pledge was taken by the entire assembly, reaffirming their commitment to the progress and unity of the nation. The atmosphere resonated with a sense of responsibility and pride as voices joined together to recite the pledge, reflecting the aspirations of millions of Indians.

Further adding to the significance of the occasion, volunteers of the NSS (National Service Scheme) and the Red Ribbon Club came forward to lead the "Panch Pran" ceremony. This symbolic ritual, which involves the planting of saplings, signifies the rejuvenation of the spirit of independence, growth, and progress. The volunteers' dedication to environmental and social causes was evident as they engaged in this meaningful activity.

Principal Jatinder Singh addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of unity, diversity, and education in shaping the future of the country. He emphasized the need to continue striving for progress and social upliftment, echoing the messages of our nation's great leaders who paved the way for independence.

The celebration concluded on a high note, with distribution of sweets and fruits to volunteers and all present .The talents of the students brought history alive and served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters.
